8villages Indonesia has been chosen as a winner in the 2020 ITU Innovation Challenges Winners

RegoPantes and LISA (Layanan Informasi Desa) as part of PT 8villages Indonesia, has been chosen as a winner in the 2020 ITU Innovation Challenges Winners. From a total of 20 Winners, RegoPantes and LISA won in two categories. RegoPantes in the Ecosystem Best Practice Challenge category, presented by Wilda Romadona, and LISA in the ‘Women In Tech Challenge category, presented by Rani Mutiarawati.

LISA is an online community for farmers based on a mobile app. Farmers who join can get information about agriculture activity. This platform is targeted to bring together many female farmers so that they will be able to more easily access information about agriculture. This target is in line with the category of the Innovation Challenges; Woman in Tech challenge.

Cultivation that is done optimally, will produce the best agricultural products. RegoPantes is a platform that connects farmers directly with consumers. With this system, farmers can more easily market their products, set their own prices, so they get a more reasonable price, and also, consumers will find it easier to obtain quality agricultural products from local farmers.
