About Siklus

Siklus’s business is to offer refills for customer products by delivering them to their door. They offer various refill products and cover the Jabodetabek area. As a company, Siklus’s main agenda is to promote sustainability: refill services are designed to reduce plastic and non-recyclable plastic garbage. Therefore, switching to electric bikes made total sense from a collaboration standpoint, ensuring their products are also delivered on a sustainable transportation platform.


How it Started

Blitz and Siklus were introduced during GK - Plug and Play Accelerator Batch 9 Program where they were both part of the cohorts’ participants. Since both companies have the same sustainability mission, the synergy was apparent from the start. We are very fortunate to have met likeminded entrepreneurs within the GK - Plug and Play cohort and for that we thank GK - Plug and Play greatly.

  • Siklus is a company that uses specialised cargo boxes weighing upwards of 100 kg once they are filled with the liquids Siklus needs to deliver. Currently there is no EV bike on the market which can carry, let alone deliver, such cargo, except until Blitz’s electric bikes.

  • Blitz has seen e-bikes in Jakarta from other companies being used for delivering just two passengers and the e-bike snaps and breaks in half in the middle of the road. These products are not designed with logistics in mind and delivery is simply an afterthought for these products. These e-bikes are imported from China (where the road conditions are far better and totally different from roads in Indonesia) and being put to use in an industry they have no business being used in as the product was not designed for that purpose.

  • Blitz’s products are by no means perfect, however they strive to ensure that their product development and QC is conducted with the end client’s need in mind from the moment the pencil hits the paper, rather than as an afterthought, so they can stay ahead of issues and problems such as the ones above.

Next Targets and Strategy

Same as it is for all their client deployments, Blitz will continue to collect feedback and customize the product for the Siklus’s needs. Further, they will also explore other avenues we can assist the client in beyond just EVs (infrastructure developments, manpower recruiting, delivery software)

  • Networking and building relationships are key for any business growth – without it your business will fail. Plug and Play has been tremendously effective in this regard, and I thank them sincerely for all the warm introductions and referrals they have been able to do for us.

  • Let the market decide how it wants to use your product to achieve total product market fit. Keep iterating on the minimum viable prototype even after finding product market fit to always be ahead of the product development curve.
