JAKARTA, 9 Apr 2020 - eCommerce GMV in Indonesia is expected to reach around US$97bn by 2025E with the logistics of physical goods reaching US$5bn in revenue. With the increasing demand for instant gratification, consumers are now looking for faster and convenient delivery options.
Traditional logistics players are still focused on standard next day deliveries, whereas, on-demand services are offering same-day delivery services at a very high cost as it lacks consolidation and optimization.
RaRa Delivery is Southeast Asia's only last-mile delivery service for eCommerce businesses that is making same-day deliveries truly scalable at the most optimal cost by leveraging its distinguished operational model and real-time optimization technology.

The S$1.2 Mil seed round was led by 500 Startups. A syndicate from Angel Central led by Der Shing Lim also participated in the round. Der Shing, Co-Founder & Partner, Angel Central is one of the most active angels in the region.

RaRa graduated from GK-Play and Play Indonesia Batch 4 in April’19. GK-PNP was also an investor in the angel round. Other investors that participated were Royston Tay, Co-Founder & ex-CEO at Zopim (acquired by Zendesk), Yang Bin Kwok, Co-Founder & ex-CTO at Zopim, Vidit Agarwal, Head of BD at Stripe, Neelesh Suryavanshee, VP Marketing, Unilever Indonesia and Vishal Gupta, VP Digital Transformation, Unilever.
“We want to find the perfect balance between customer service and cost, that means offering premium service at the cheapest cost using our operational model and technology,” says Karan Bhardwaj, Founder & CEO, RaRa Delivery.
Previously, Karan was Regional eCommerce Supply Chain Manager at Unilever responsible for setting up the end-to-end supply chain for Unilever’s eCommerce to be able to partner with all marketplaces across South East Asia.
“The Funds will be used to acquire the right talent in Business Development, Operations, and Technology to further expand RaRa’s business in Indonesia in a quest to become the market leader in the same-day delivery space”, says Karan.
